Joseph Ryelandt (1870–1965)
Sonata in D minor for Viola and Piano, Op. 73 (1919)

Edited by Marion Leleu

Joseph Ryelandt was one of an exceptional generation of late Romantic composers who shaped the musical life of Belgium between the 1890s and 1920s.

The lovely sonata appears slightly reminiscent of César Franck, but is not as difficult. This new edition according to the autographs includes a preface as well as an editorial report with individual comments.
